Barwin recently completed a refurbishment of a commercial building at 40 - 41 Great Marlborough Street, Soho, London of 1,650sqm GIA, with a retail unit on the ground floor and grade A offices on the uper five floors of offices, with a new comfort cooling and external terrace amenity.

Barwin carried out the works mentioned in the scope of works below. 

Scope of works:

  • New build brickwork
  • New build blockwork
  • Pointing to brickwork/blockwork
  • Supply and fix Kooltherm to cavity
  • DPC supply and fix
  • Cavity trays supply and fix
  • Cavity closures supply and fix
  • Supply and fix hi load mastic/fixings to cavity trays
  • Ancon wind posts fix to only
  • Ancon wall ties supply and fix
  • Supply and fix coping stones inclusive of pointing and DPC
  • New cills to windows fix only
  • Take down existing brick/Block & coping stones and rebuild /fix
  • Take out and replace bricks to existing
  • Rake out and repoint to existing
  • Supply and fix Helibars to existing
  • Crack repairs to existing brickwork
  • Stone repairs to existing
  • Repairs to Existing cills
  • Block up existing openings
  • Build new chimney stack
  • Form expansion joints to brick and blockwork
  • Concrete repairs to existing steel work (sika)
  • Supply and fix catnic lintels
  • Supply and fix celotex insulation board
