Project: The Cross Keys Pub, White Notley

Scope of Works:

Barwin undertook to complete Internal and external refurbishment of the Grade II listed public House dating back to the 1700’s.

Conservation had to be involved sue to the period, listed Building to ensure the excellent workmanship carried out.

Barwin’s Stone health trained workforce removed the external paint using the DOFF system, but whilst removing the paint it cam to light that the brickwork was over coated with a limewash. The Owner of the Pub wanted it stripped back to it’s original state revealing the brickwork.

Barwin removed the Limewash using the TORC System which removed the limewash and cleaned the brickwork.

alProject: Shepherd Neame Brewery, Faversham

Client: Shepherd Neame Ltd 

The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain’s Oldest Brewer. Nestled in the medieval market town of Faversham in Kent, brewing has continued on this site for centuries.

Barwin were appointed as Principal Contractor to carry out a multi-phase refurbishment to the building. 

Scope of Works:

  • Roof repairs
  • Widow replacements
  • Brickwork repointing
  • Chemical clean of brickwork
  • Cleaning & re-bedding of coping stones
  • Redecoration of painted surfaces

Project: Lord Raglan Pub, London

Scope of Works:

Barwin restored, cleaned and decorated the Lord Raglan Pub in EC4.
