Barwin were appointed by Bowood Ltd on behalf of the resident’s association to undertake stone façade repairs, concrete repairs and façade redecorating of this period residential property within Belgravia conservation area. This prestigious building consists of 10 exclusive apartments. The main challenge of this project was to cause minimal disruption to the residents whilst façade decorating and restoration works were carried out.

Scope of works:

• Hammer test to all concrete to identify any loose, defective or blown areas
• Concrete repairs
• Damaged areas of stucco were cut back to a stable sound core and restored
• Stucco details were reformed by applying stucco mortar
• Decorating of all rendered areas and stucco render
• Timber care system repairs to all woodwork
• Preparation and painting of all metalwork

• Anti-carbonation coatings to all concrete
• Sika concrete repair mortar
• Dulux Weathershield system
